The image draws you in. The story unsettles it.

A man confronts his reflection while a murder investigation unfolds outside. Another enters a world of hatred in search of the truth. Across psychological thrillers, intimate drama, and screenwriting, Andrea builds stories around people whose inner lives resist a simple explanation.

His approach combines visual symbolism, layered characters, and nonlinear storytelling. Echoes brought that language international recognition; Lost in Gray carried it into a Los Angeles production with an established American cast. Lips explores a more intimate struggle for agency.

Different stories. A recognizable curiosity.

Performance and atmosphere carry the work together: Glen Blackhall, Stella Egitto, and Giuseppe Cederna in Echoes; Jack Plotnick, Haley Webb, Jesse Luken, and Robert Miano in Lost in Gray; Lina Bernardi and Jgor Barbazza in Zenzero e Pallottole; Tatiana Romao and Rubén Navarro in Lips.

The projects move between Italy and Los Angeles, with Andrea working across directing, writing, and producing.

A filmmaker’s contribution can begin behind the camera.

Producing is another way of making a story possible: bringing a project, its people, and its practical demands together. Andrea’s independent producing work includes Rubén Navarro’s award-winning short Monsters of the Night.

The film’s international festival life brought recognition for the film itself, editing, music, and audience response.

The worlds still taking shape.

The feature screenplay of Echoes expands the territory of the award-winning short into a longer narrative. Sweetwater, written for Charlie and Karen Lyons, brings Andrea’s storytelling into television development.

Lyons’ Hollywood work spans Air Force One, Spy Game, Open Range, and the Bring It On franchise. That collaboration connects Andrea’s writing practice with experience across major studio filmmaking, independent production, and the stage.

A practice built across many films.

The directing work reaches back through Time, Just One Shot, Zenzero e Pallottole, Green Man, The Last Day of Sun, Attori in cerca di lavoro, and the documentary The Shadow of Darkness.

Producing adds another dimension: films such as Monsters of the Night, SmoKings, Elena, Zoo School, Cuban Dancer, and Samia bring different directors, performers, and production ambitions into the picture.
