Identity becomes a dangerous disguise.

Joel, a Jewish man searching for answers about his wife’s murder, infiltrates a neo-Nazi group. The investigation draws him into a world where the identity he performs begins to shape his behavior.

Lost in Gray places a personal search inside a hostile social landscape. Andrea’s interest in morally complex characters finds expression in a drama-thriller about identity, belonging, and the cost of inhabiting another world.

A Los Angeles ensemble.

The cast includes Jack Plotnick, Haley Webb, Jesse Luken, Blake Sheldon, and Robert Miano.

Plotnick’s work includes Gods and Monsters and Wrong; Webb is known for Teen Wolf and The Final Destination; Luken’s credits include Justified and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Their range gives the film a meeting point between independent cinema and established American screen talent.

A production with an international horizon.

The film’s producing team includes associate producer Sacha Ben Harroche, later an Academy Award nominee for Best Picture as a producer of Sound of Metal.

For Andrea, Lost in Gray brought writing, directing, and producing into a US production, building on the visual and narrative experimentation of his earlier Italian work. The short also grew from a feature-length story developed for the screen.
